NEW DELHI: The Election Commission on Friday issued notification for the July 16 biennial elections to Maharashtra Legislative Council to fill 11 seats which will fall vacant on July 27.

According to a release by the Election Commission, the last date of making nominations is July 5.

Scrutiny of nominations will be done on July 6, while the last date for withdrawal of candidatures is July 9.

Polling for 11 seats will be held on July 16 and the votes will be counted after 5 pm same day.
