Fire breaks out at furniture shop near Thane in Maharashtra, fire fighting on

The furniture shop is located on Ghodbunder Road in Thane West.

MUMBAI: A massive fire broke out in a furniture shop near Muchhala College in Thane district in Maharashtra on Thursday evening.

The shop is located on Ghodbunder Road in Thane West.

Several teams of fire tenders have been rushed to the spot to douse the fire.

What caused the fire is not immediately known. According to eyewitnesses, the fire, which erupted at the furniture shop, quickly spread to other shops triggering panic among local residents.   

Locals residents are also helping the fire-brigade officials in dousing the fire.
