Panvel City Municipal Corporation Election 2017 Results: With 51 seats, BJP set to get two-third majority; PWP-led alliance wins 25

Mumbai: The counting of votes for Panvel City Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Elections 2017 is currently underway on Friday. BJP is said to be headed to victory in Panvel City Municipal Corporation elections 2017, as per the latest trends available as of now.

-The result of only one seat is awaited in Panvel.

-BJP wins 51 seats, PWP-led alliance bags 25, as of now.

-With 51 seats, BJP set to get two-third majority in Panvel civic polls. While the PWP-Congress-NCP alliance has won 25 seats, Shiv Sena could secured only 1.

-BJP is poised to register a decisive victory in the Panvel municipal corporation elections. Meanwhile, the PWP-NCP-Congress alliance is ahead on 17 seats.

-BJP is now leading on 37 seats - one short from halfway mark, while the PWP-led alliance leading on 15 seats.

-The MNS led by Raj Thackeray is trailing from all the seats. The BJP is headed towards victory as it leads in 34 seats so far.

-BJP is now said to be leading on 34 seats, while the PWP-led alliance is ahead on 15. Shiv Sena has won 1 seat so far while Raj Thackeray-led MNS continues with its poor show here as well.

-PWP has now taken its lead to 15 seats. Meanwhile, five of the BJP leading candidates have been declared winners.

-BJP is now leading on 30 seats, eight short of majority. Meanwhile, the PWP led alliance is ahead on 14 seats. Shiv Sena has taken its lead to 9 seats.

-BJP takes it leads to 28, while the PWP-NCP-Congress alliance is ahead only 1.

Panvel City Municipal Corporation

The newly incorporated civic body went into polls on Wednesday. Voting was held on a total of 78 seats. For the 78 seats contested in PCMC, a total of 418 candidates were in the fray.

BJP, eyeing to win the first ever election for Panvel civic body, fielded candidates on 75 out of the 78 seats contested. The remaining 3 seats were allotted to its ally – Republican Party of India (Athawale). The Congress, under its electoral arrangement with NCP and Peasants and Workers’ Party (PWP), contested on a total of 12 seats. 

The PWP was allotted 48, whereas, the NCP fielded candidates on 12 seats.
