New Delhi: South Korean Electronics manufacturer Samsung might launch the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone with an increased memory capacity on Friday, as per media reports.

Samsung might launch the Galaxy Note 7 with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage at an event in China today. It has already sent out media invites for the event stipulated for today.

Meanwhile, in India, the company is anxiously waiting to see response for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which it launched early this month. The phone will go on sale on September 2.

Samsung had yesterday said that stronger-than-expected demand for the new Galaxy Note 7 is causing supply constraints globally, suggesting strong initial sales for the premium device.

Samsung is betting the new premium device will help the business maintain sales and earnings momentum in the second half even as rivals such as Apple Inc prepare to launch new devices in the coming months.
