New Delhi/Beijing: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi launched the Mi TV 4A series of smart TVs in its home market.

The  Mi TV 4A houses 64-bit 1.5GHz Amlogic L962-H8X processor and 750MHz Mali 450 GPU with 1GB RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage. The smart TV has been priced at CNY 1,699 in China(Approximately Rs 17,500).

The 40-inch full-HD (1920x1080 pixel) smart TV comes with voice control, enhanced audio and a thin design.

Xiaomi is also expected to launch the TV in India India on Wednesday. The company has been teasing the launch of a low-cost TV in the country. However, it is not clear whether it will be the same Mi TV 4A series or a 43-inch Mi TV 4C, which was spotted last week on Xiaomi's India website.

On February 14, Xiaomi launched the Mi TV 4 in India at Rs 39,999. Mi TV 4, claimed by the company to be slimmest TV in the world, is only 4.9 mm thin. Mi TV 4 uses a Samsung panel. It comes with a 55-inch display, 4K UHD resolution (3840x2160).

Mi TV 4 houses 2GB RAM, 8GB storage, 64-bit quad-core processor, Dolby audio. Connectivity options include WiFi, BT 4.0, Ethernet, and more. The smart TV comes with a limited period offer with free subscription, Mi IR cable and on-site installation for the first 3 months.
