Mumbai: Former Congress leader Narayan Rane, who recently floated his own political outfit, on Tuesday said that he received an invitation from the Maharashtra chief minister to join the ruling National Democratic Front (NDA).
“Devendra Fadnavis invited me to join NDA, I sought two days' time to answer,” Rane told reporters after meeting the CM.
Rane launched the “Maharashtra Swabhimaan Paksh” last Sunday, just 10 days after quitting the Congress party.
MSP will work for the interests of the people of the state, he declared.
After launching the outfit, he told reporters that his party would decide whether it should join the NDA or not.
