Padmavati second song: Ranveer Singh to stun audience with Khalli Balli act
Ranveer’s deadly moves in Khalli Balli will be even better than his performance in Malhari from Bajirao Mastani.
Mumbai: After leaving us spellbound with Deepika Padukone’s Ghoomar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is gearing up to stun us with Ranveer Singh’s Khalli Balli act in Padmavati. The song reportedly titled Khalli Balli will be unveiled soon.
According to a report in Bollywoodlife.com, Ranveer’s deadly moves in Khalli Balli will be even better than his performance in Malhari from Bajirao Mastani. However, Ranveer may not have much dance to do this time – his body language, expressions and style will do the dancing.
The song will also feature Jim Sarbh, who plays Khilji’s close aid Malik Kafur. Ace choreographer Ganesh Acharya, who had choreographed Malhari was roped in for this song too. He apparently approved Ranveer’s moves in a couple of takes, but Bhansali being a perfectionist was satisfied only after ten takes.
Slated to release on December 1, Padmavati featuring Deepika as Rani Padmini, Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh, Anupriya Goenka as Rani Nagmati and Aditi Rao Hydari as Khilji’s wife, is one of the most waited films of the year.
The trailer of the magnum opus has garnered over 50 million views since it was unveiled on October 9. And the first song Ghoomar left people jaw-dropped.
The film marks Bhansali, Deepika and Ranveer’s third collaboration together. The trio had delivered Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani in the past. In these films, Deepika and Ranveer were romantically paired opposite each other but in Padmavati, they don’t share screen space at all.
Interestingly, Deepika and Shahid have been paired with each other for the first time and their chemistry in the trailer has already impressed us.
