'No action against Azhar Masood till evidence not found '

Islamabad, Dec 04: Pakistan on Thursday said it will not take any action against Jaish-e-Mohammed founder Maulana Masood Azhar till India provides "concrete evidence" of his involvement in the Mumbai terrorist attacks.

Acknowledging India's demand for handing over several criminals and terrorists, including Azhar and mob bosses Tiger Memon and Dawood Ibrahim, interior ministry chief Rehman Malik said the Jaish founder is a Pakistani national and is currently in the country.

"No action will be taken against Masood Azhar till India provides concrete evidence of his involvement in the Mumbai attacks," Malik told reporters here.

He said Dawood Ibrahim and Tiger Memon are "Indian citizens and are not in Pakistan".

Malik also said India had not "officially asked" Pakistan to send any official of the Inter-Services Intelligence agency or the Federal Investigation Agency to assist in the probe into the Mumbai attacks.

If Pak does`nt oblige india`s demand then india should impose strict sanctions against pak in every possible way like stop exporting some of the essential items from india,permit no airspace access and build dams accross the rivers so that no water flows into pakistan.

It is a shame on India, Indian government and indian people. Where is the need for India to plead Pak government to take action on the suspected fugitives. And what Is India going to get out of it. The present government is not going to be tough on terrorism for the fear of losing muslim votes. In this process the congress is going to lose neutral hindu votes. There is absolutely nothing the present government can do. However, two things are before the new government. One, Make things absolutely impossible for the terrorists to sneak into Indian territory. Two, contemplate some proactive counter terror activities on both Pak and Bangladesh.
