Kolhapur: Gaurav Davare was the fastest from among the 14 racers, who today qualified for the national finals of the Force India's 'One From A Billion Hunt' talent hunt programme.
The Kolhapur-leg, fourth of the seven-city progamme, concluded on Monday.
The fifth leg will begin in Hyderabad from May 23.
Gaurav secured the number one spot in the Kolhapur regional trials with a timing of 00:44.42. Arjun Khaire, a professional racer in ROTAX bagged the second highest spot.
Pratik Jadhav was third best while Shantanu Desai, a national level shooter, grabbed the last available spot in the top-14, according to a release.
The National Finals scheduled will be held in September and will have 100 finalists, 14 from each of the seven regional rounds plus two wild card entries.
The final ten finalists will then move on to the next level of the programme, the Silverstone Finale.
