Act fast on Telangana: TDP MLAs, MLCs, MPs to Centre

New Delhi: Telugu Desam MLAs, MLCs and MPs from the Telangana region have demanded that that Centre expeditiously complete the process of formation of Telangana state.

"Under the circumstances, we on behalf of the people of Telangana demand that the process which the Government has started be completed with expedition and within a timeframe," they said in a memorandum to Home Minister P Chidambaram.

Asserting that at this stage nothing should stand "between people and Telangana and their demand for a separate state," they asked the Centre to bring an appropriate bill in Parliament and "make the dreams of the people of Telangana a reality."

I think it is shameful to the Congress party & governments who promised for a seperate state of Telangana and now, as usual denied just saying that there is no consensus. Why they need all parties to agree? There will be no 100% agreement on any issue by everybody. There is clear divide within the political parties and their MLAs & MPs, everybody from T region want a seperate state. This is consensus, the govt should accept it. This movement is on since last 50 years and most of the time Congress in govt. Why they are ignoring the emotional issue of the T region, who are suffering from severe injustice. By delaying the matter they are creating disturbance in the region which affecting the normal life and development. I request to the Congress party, its leaders and governments to take decision and proceed for a sepoerate statehood to Telangana region and bring peace and prosperity to both regions and our great country.
