Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Sunday ordered an inquiry into the allegations of misuse of power against Revenue Minister D Prasada Rao following a request from him to do so.

Rosaiah ordered Vigilance and Enforcement Department to conduct the inquiry into the allegations against Prasada Rao, a release from the Chief Minister's Office said.

Prasada Rao had written a letter to Rosaiah yesterday seeking a probe into the allegations made against him that he misused his office for NREGA works in his native Srikakulam district.

Senior Telugu Desam leader K Yerran Naidu, who also belongs to Srikakulam district, has alleged that the minister misused his office and indulged in corruption in NREGS works.
