Andhra CM sends team to monitor Satya Sai Baba`s condition
Satya Sai Baba had developed a breathing problem last night after being hospitalised at Puttaparti for lung and chest congestion last week.
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy Saturday night directed state Principal Secretary (Health) to go to Puttaparthi along with a team of expert doctors to monitor the health of ailing spiritual guru Satya Sai Baba.
"The Chief Minister is concerned over the health condition of Satya Sai Baba. He has instructed the Principal Secretary (Health) PV Ramesh to rush to Puttaparthi immediately with senior doctors to assist and advise the medical team that is currently treating the Baba," a press release from the Chief Minister`s office said.
Meanwhile, state ministers J Geeta Reddy and N Raghuveera Reddy visited Puttaparthi to enquire about the Baba`s health. They were, however, refused permission to see him, as he is in ICU.
Earlier in the day, doctors treating him said in a statement that his condition was stable.
