Brazil`s Mauro Vinicius Da Silva defended his men`s long jump title at the World Indoor Athletics Championships at Sopot on Saturday.

Da Silva, seventh in the 2012 London Olympics, saved the best for his sixth and last attempt, leaping 8.28 metres to overtake China`s silver medallist Jinzhe Li (8.23m). Sweden`s Michel Torneus claimed bronze with 8.21m.
