Hyderabad: As many as 36 Indian
Administrative Service (IAS) officers were on Tuesday transferred
in Andhra Pradesh, the single largest reshuffle so far under
the Government of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who
assumed office in November last year.
One of the notable transfers was that of Tirumala
Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Executive Officer IYR Krishna Rao
of the 1979 batch. He has been transferred and appointed
Principal Secretary (Labour and Employment), an official
release said here.
LV Subrahmanyam of 1983 batch, who was recently
cleared of corruption charges, will replace Rao at TTD.
The head of Finance Department G Sudhir (1977 batch)
has been shifted to Health, Medical and Family Welfare
Department as Special Chief Secretary.
Senior bureaucrat V Bhaskar (1981 batch), upon
repatriation from Central deputation, will now head the
Finance Department as Principal Secretary. In another major
change in the department, Pushpa Subrahmanyam of 1985 batch
has been made Principal Secretary (Institutional Finance).
Sameer Sharma (1985 batch) has been moved out as
Commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC)
and posted as Commissioner, Excise and Prohibition.
Sharma, currently on a private visit to the USA, has
been transferred following pressure from Mayor B Karthika
Reddy and other members of the GHMC governing body, official
MT Krishna Babu (1993 batch), who previously served
as Special Commissioner of GHMC, will succeed Sharma.
