AP Commission enquiring police firing on mob submits report

The Justice V Bhaskar Rao Commission enquiring into the police firing on a mob after a bomb blast at the historic Mecca Masjid here in 2007 on Saturday submitted its report to the Andhra Pradesh government.

Justice V Bhaskar Rao called on state Chief Minister K
Rosaiah at the camp office here and submitted the report.

The one-member Commission of Enquiry was appointed by
the Andhra Pradesh government on June 2, 2007 to enquire into
the incident of police firing on May 18, 2007 near Mecca
Masjid in which five people were killed, during clashes that
erupted after a bomb blast.
The CBI probing the 2007 Mecca Masjid bomb blast case
has so far named five persons, all allegedly having links with
a right-wing Hindu outfit, as accused in the case and brought
two Ajmer blast suspects, Devender Gupta and Lokesh Sharma, to
Hyderabad on June 17 as part of the investigation, who are
presently under judicial remand here.
