Hyderabad: Senior BJP leader Bandaru
Dattatreya on Saturday alleged that the ruling Congress was solely
responsible for the violence at Mahabubabad in Warangal, that
left 16 people injured.
"Had the Rosaiah government taken preventive action to
stop the Cuddappa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy`s `odarpu` yatra,
the violence would not have happened," Dattatreya said
addressing a press conference.
Calling K Rosaiah a weak Chief Minister, the BJP leader,
said the state government should take full responsibility of
yesterday`s situation as it failed to prevent the violence
because it wanted to satisfy Jagan.
Ridiculing the police action of taking Jagan into
preventive custody after the violence, Dattatreya said, "It
should have acted much before Jagan began his yatra from
Secunderabad Railway station".
Reiterating that BJP would continue its peaceful
agitation in a democratic way to achieve separate state for
Telangana region, Dattatreya said the party is extending its
support to today`s bandh called by Telangana JAC.
