Hyderabad: Congress leaders from Telangana
region today decided to hold their meeting to condole the
death of those who ended their lives in support of separate
Telangana demand at Nalgonda on October 31.

Congress MP from Nalgonda G Sukhender Reddy told
reporters that 25 families have been identified in Nalgonda
district and that they will be given financial assistance too.
He was speaking after a meeting of the party leaders from
Nalgonda district here today.

Congress leaders from Telangana have been holding
meetings at various places to condole the death of those who
reportedly committed suicide in support of the separate
statehood demand.

So far, they held such meetings at Karimnagar and
Mancherial in Adilabad and planned to hold their next meet at
Mahabubnagar tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Congress leaders criticised the move of
their TDP counterparts to organise protests in Delhi to mount
pressure on the Centre to take steps for formation of separate
Telangana.

"If the TDP leaders would go to Delhi to hold protest at
the residence of Sonia Gandhiji, we will prevent them from
going ahead. We will organise protests at the TDP office and
residence of Chandrababu Naidu," G Niranjan, a senior Congress
leader, told reporters.

He was reacting to the decision of TDP leaders from
Telangana to hold a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on
October 25 and their plan to meet the Prime Minister and the
Congress president.
