Hyderabad: Congress leaders from Telangana region will tomorrow offer financial assistance to the kin of those who reportedly died to support the separate statehood
demand.

The MPs and MLAs from the party will pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi on his 141st birth anniversary tomorrow and proceed to Karimnagar, party MLA S Rajaiah said. The kin of over 60 youth, who reportedly committed suicide, would be offered financial assistance tomorrow.
The Telangana Congress leaders have formed the `Congress action committee for Telangana` to spearhead its activities. The idea is to send out the message that the party cared for Telangana and the party leaders are sincere in campaigning for a separate state, Congress leaders said.

The party would hold programmes at other cities in the region as well to give financial assistance to the families of those who died for separate Telangana. State Congress president D Srinivas has indicated that the offer of financial assistance was not a party affair and said there was nothing wrong in it.
