Ongole: Congress MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday alleged that his detractors and some newspapers have been trying to show him as isolated.
"I used to feel that I am alone in feeling the loss of our beloved leader and my father YS Rajasekhara Reddy. My detractors, those who do not like me and some newspapers
have been saying everyday that Jagan is alone," he said.
"But you have been waiting for me since yesterday and yet you are welcoming me. Is it not proof that our beloved leader has occupied a permanent place in your hearts?," he
Jagan was addressing a gathering at Pamuru village in Prakasam district on the fourth day of his controversial yatra.
Jagan was referring to media reports that Congress MLAs and other party leaders have been staying away from his tour.
Except state Mines Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, who is a close relative of the YSR family, and couple of Congress MLAs who are known supporters of Jagan, significant
number of MLAs from Prakasam district have not been participating in the yatra.
The absence of MLAs in Jagan`s yatra is due to Congress high command`s directions asking them to stay away from Kadapa MP`s yatra.
Congress Whip S Sailajanath reminded in Anantapur that Jagan has already made it clear that his yatra is personal.
