Disproportionate assets of over Rs 1.3 cr unearthed by ACB in Andhra

The Anti-Corruption Bureau unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 1.3 crore, allegedly belonging to two government officials, in separate cases.

today unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 1.3
crore, allegedly belonging to two government officials, in
separate cases.

ACB officials conducted simultaneous searches at the
residence of P Shukla Kumar, Deputy Tahsildar of Moinabad
mandal in neighbouring Ranga Reddy district, and unearthed
assets worth Rs 94 lakh as per per "document value", according
to an official statement.

The assets include four flats, a building, two house
plots, 3 acre agricultural land and household articles. The
market value of these assets is estimated to be much higher,
the ACB statement said.

In another case, acting on a tip-off that deputy forest
range officer, S Venkat Srinvas, was in possession of huge
assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, ACB
conducted simultaneous searches at the residences of Reddy and
his relatives in Guntur and Warangal districts.

It revealed assets worth over Rs 40 lakh, including two
buildings and three plots, besides gold and silver jewellery.
