Hyderabad: The troubles of Andhra Pradesh
Congress president D Srinivas appear to be far from over as
the Election Commission today served a fresh notice to him for
alleged violation of model code of conduct in force for the
coming by-elections in Telangana region.

The notice was issued based on the complaint of
Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha that he made promises
that UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi is positively inclined
towards formation of separate Telangana.

Srinivas should reply to the notice by 11 am tomorrow,
state Chief Electoral Officer I V Subba Rao told reporters
here.

The EC has censured Srinivas yesterday for seeking
votes in the name of his community.

The previous notice issued to Srinivas was also based
on the complaint of Kavitha, daughter of TRS president
K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Srinivas was served a notice and later let off with a
stern warning during the general elections last year too for
violation of model code.
