Hyderabad: A local court on Saturday remanded Vijay Raghava, a senior official of the Emaar Hill Township Pvt Ltd (EHTPL) to judicial custody till January 30 in connection with the Emaar-APIIC case.

"We would like to clarify that one of the associates of EHTPL was called for inquiry (by CBI). He (Raghava) has been remanded to judicial custody till Monday. As always EHTPL continues to cooperate with the investigating agency," EHTPL, which is a joint venture between Emaar Properties and Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructures Corporation (APIIC), said in a statement.

Raghava was the third accused to be arrested in connection with the case after the CBI had filed an FIR in August last year. Businessman Koneru Prasad and Sunil Reddy, a relative of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, were two others who were arrested earlier by the central agency.

The Emaar-APIIC case relates to the alleged irregularities in transfer of land and sale of villas and apartments in a township, jointly developed here by APIIC and a Dubai-based infrastructure firm Emaar Group Company.
