Vijayawada: City police on Monday arrested five
persons for allegedly running a drug racket and seized 13,000
narcotic drug injections from them.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police B Ravindrandh
Babu, a Rajasthani lead the gang and was supplying the drugs
through his agents in the city.
The gang lured students and labourers in and around the
city to distribute these injections. Though the actual cost of
the drug was only Rs 5, they sold it for over Rs 40, he said.
Babu said among the five accused, two are from
Chilakaluripet, while two others are from Mangalagiri town in
Guntur district.
