Govt evolving common interface for Five Year plan

Keeping in view the preparatory arrangements for the Central 12th Five Year Plan, the Andhra Pradesh government is evolving a `common interface` for preparing the draft strategies for the exercise.

arrangements for the Central 12th Five Year Plan, the Andhra
Pradesh government is evolving a `common interface` for
preparing the draft strategies for the exercise.

The State, while gearing up for the activity, is
planning to involve academic institutions and various
implementing departments in identifying the appropriate growth
strategies to prepare Approach to the 12th Five Year Plan of
the state, a government report said.

With the focus of the proposed plan likely to be on
`faster, inclusive and sustainable growth`, the state
government has designated the Centre for Economic and Social
Studies (CESS), for `conducting studies and analysing
socio-economic and developmental phenomena` for preparing the
draft approaches, the report said.

The state on the lines of Government of India, has
decided to strengthen the planning process by creating space
for contribution by professionals, having expertise in
different sectors of economy, by evolving a common interface
to suggest various strategic alternatives, it said.

With an objective to make the consultations more
inclusive and meaningful, it shall be ensured that Civil
Society Organisations (CSOs), Non-Government Organisations
(NGOs), research organisations, representatives from
industries, rural and urban local bodies will be taken on
board, the report added.
