The war of words between loyalists of Jagan Mohan Reddy and party leadership intensified today with his supporters dismissing allegations of a scam took place in a state-owned corporation during YSR Reddy`s regime.
Hyderabad: The war of words between
loyalists of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and party
leadership intensified today with the supporters of the young
MP dismissing allegations of a scam took place in a
state-owned corporation during Y S Rajasekhara Reddy`s regime.
Responding to the allegations of scam made by senior
Congress MLAs, who are known to be opposed to Rajasekhara
Reddy, two party legislators claimed that the allegations are
being made only to gain some positions.
"They are making the allegations only because they did
not get any positions of power in 2004 and 2009 (when
Rajasekhara Reddy was Chief Minister). They want to get
close to the leadership by making such allegations," MLAs N
Adinarayana Reddy and K Srikant Reddy, who are close to Jagan,
In a veiled attack on late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, senior
Congress MLAs D L Ravindra Reddy and J C Diwakar Reddy,
alleged yesterday that a scam worth Rs 10,000 crore took place
in Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation
(APIIC) during his tenure as Chief Minister.
Ravindra Reddy said he has requested Chief Minister K
Rosaiah to order a probe to bring out the truth in the issue.
He said he would also write to party high command seeking a
CBI inquiry into the issue.
