Jagan resumes `odarpu yatra`; slams Congress, TDP

Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that the ruling Congr and Telugu Desam have a secret understanding to `defame` his late father.

Kurnool: Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan
Reddy on Monday night alleged that the ruling Congress and main
Opposition Telugu Desam have a secret understanding to
"defame" his late father YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

"Though the Cabinet decisions were all collective,
Congress is shamelessly trying to defame Rajasekhara Reddy.
That is why Congress elders made (Minister) Shankar Rao write
to the courts," he said, addressing a public meeting at
Allagadda in Kurnool district as part of his `odarpu
(consolation) yatra`.

Jagan was referring to the preliminary probe being
conducted by CBI, as per a directive of the AP High Court,
into the allegations of irregularities in certain land deals
during the Rajasekhara Reddy regime.

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu used to describe the CBI
as a "Congress Bureau of Investigation" but he has now
demanded a CBI probe "shamelessly" into the issues of land and
others, the YSR Congress leader alleged.

Jagan began his yatra in Kurnool district on Monday.

During the tour, the 38-year-old MP consoles families
who say their relatives died of shock after Rajasekhara
Reddy`s death in a helicopter crash in September 2009.
