Ongole (AP): The war of words between TDP leaders and Congress MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy continued today with the latter regretting that his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy is attacked even though he is no more.

"One year has passed since our beloved leader Rajasekhara Reddy died. But they (TDP) are attacking him even today. They forgot the basic courtesy that it is not good to attack some one who is no more. It shows the fall in political values," Jagan said.

He was speaking at Pedda Dornala village in Prakasam district during his ongoing 'Odarpu yatra'.

Maintaining that his father had a permanent place in the hearts of the people, Jagan said those making allegations would get "washed away" due to the love and affection people have for late Rajasekhara Reddy.

"Our beloved leader Rajasekhara Reddy showed, not just to the state, but to the entire country, how a Chief Minister should be. It was he who initiated schemes like free medical treatment for poor, loans at three per cent interest rate, old age pensions and four per cent reservations for minorities," Jagan said.

"As long as I have God's grace, my father's blessings and people's love, nobody can do anything to me," he said.

Jagan was apparently referring to Naidu's allegations in Srikakulam district yesterday that Rajasekhara Reddy was corrupt and hurt the state a lot. The TDP leaders also questioned how Jagan has acquired so much wealth.

Jagan has earlier said the TDP leaders were making allegations against him and his father as they are jealous of the good response to his yatra.
