Hyderabad: Noting that the NDA government has done its best in the face of challenges during its first year in office, TDP President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday expressed confidence that the Centre would do better in the second year as well.

"They (Centre) are doing their best. It is their first year. They have inherited legacy of Congress. There are so many problems nation-wide, even in Andhra Pradesh. They have completed one year. I am confident they will do their best in second year as well," he told reporters here.

"If you see, economy is also improving. That is a good sign. Recently, they have announced some welfare programmes for unorganised and other sections. We have to balance welfare, development and employment creation. This year, economy is better," he added.

TDP having 16 Lok Sabha members is a crucial constituent of NDA and shares power with BJP both at the Centre and in the state.
