No link between `Odarpu yatra` and financial help: Jagan aide

Jagan Mohan Reddy`s `Odarpu yatra` would continue and it has nothing to do with the party high command`s offer of financial assistance to the families of those who died following the death of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy last year

Hyderabad: Congress MP Y S Jagan Mohan
Reddy`s `Odarpu yatra` would continue and it has nothing to do
with the party high command`s offer of financial assistance to
the families of those who died following the death of Y S
Rajasekhara Reddy last year, one of his close aides said
today.

"Odarpu yatra is sentimental. What is the need to stop
the yatra? How high command`s decision and Jagan`s yatra are
related," Ambati Rambabu told reporters in Tirupati.

Rambabu was recently suspended as Andhra Pradesh Congress
General Secretary for his critical remarks against party
leadership and Chief Minister K Rosaiah.

Meanwhile, Mines Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, a
close relative of YSR, today reiterated that he would
participate in Jagan`s yatra, whose third phase is scheduled
to start from tomorrow in Prakasam district.

"It was late Rajasekhara Reddy who gave me a political
life. We have a close association and family ties. I will
participate in the yatra," he said.

Despite reservations expressed by the Congress high
command, Jagan is set to resume the yatra.
