Presence of Cong MLAs not show of strength by Jagan: Aide

Visakhapatnam (AP): Presence of MLAs of
ruling Congress in Andhra Pradesh at protests held by former
party MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy should not be seen as shows of
strength, a close aide of Jagan said here on Saturday.
"The MLAs who have time will attend his protests. Those
who do not have time would not attend. It is not correct to
say that some 30 MLAs attended Jagan`s protest and that is
his strength. It has already been made clear that Jagan does
not intend to destabilise the government," Ambati Rambabu, a
former state Congress general secretary, told reporters.

His statement came after about 27 Congress legislators
had taken part in a recent protest rally led by Jagan in Delhi
to highlight the "adverse impact" of Krishna Water Disputes
Tribunal on Andhra Pradesh farmers.
Jagan had said he was doing a favour to the Congress by
asking the MLAs loyal to him not to quit their posts for now.

Jagan will undertake a one-day fast in Visakhapatnam
tomorrow to protest the overall price rise and the recent hike
in prices of petrol.

His `odarpu yatra` is currently underway in Visakhapatnam
district.
