Mahabubnagar: Rejecting TDP`s
allegations that he was behind the violent protests against
the visit of N Chandrababu Naidu to Telangana region, TRS
president K Chandrasekhar Rao today said the protests were
voluntary.

"Did we stop Chandrababu Naidu? No. Because, he (Naidu)
stopped the formation of separate Telangana, people
voluntarily protested against his visit to Telangana. He is
trying to put the blame on TRS and the Telangana agitation,"
Rao said at Kollapur in Mahabubnagar district.

"TDP leaders say that Chandrasekhar Rao is behind the
attack on Naidu. Did we ever beat up people in the last 10
years since the party was formed? If we start beating up
people, can any one from coastal Andhra live in Telangana ?,"
he said.

Rao was speaking at a function where a number of workers
from other political parties joined the TRS.

Alleged activists of TRS threw stones and tried to block
Naidu`s path, while he was on the way to Mahabubnagar in
Telangana region yesterday to hold protest against the
scarcity of fertilisers for farmers.

Blaming the TRS president for the protests, the TDP
leaders today complained to the state DGP seeking action
against the trouble-makers.
