Remuneration hike for panchayat secretaries in AP

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy increased the remuneration of Panchayat Secretaries appointed on a contract basis from Rs 4,900 to Rs 8,400 per month.

Secretaries appointed on a contract basis from Rs 4,900 to Rs
8,400 per month.

An additional budget of Rs 57 lakh for 2011-12 for the
Director of Dairatul Maarif-Il-Osmania, has also been granted
towards the salaries of its employees. The Chief Minister
directed the finance department to release the additional
budget immediately.

The Chief Minister also gave his approval for certain
teaching and non-teaching posts under Phase-I in JNTU College
of Engineering, Manthani in Karimnagar district. Financial
commitment for these posts is Rs 6.20 crore per annum.

The Chief Minister also approved consolidation of pension
for the teaching staff in university and colleges for those
who retired between January 1996 and December 2005, as per the
committee recommendations.
