Rosaiah today said farmers welfare and prosperity were high on
"Farmer`s welfare and prosperity are very high on my
agenda. I will put all out efforts to fulfil the promises of
former Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and ensure that
farmer receives all incentives, support and encouragement to
increase the food production", he said.
The Chief Minister lamented about political parties
reaching out farmers for political gains and to further expose
the malice propaganda from time and again against government
with regard to farmers by the opposition parties.

A meagre amount of Rs 9000 crore was spent for
agriculture sector during 2003-04 whereas Rs 38,000 crore
were spent during 2009-10. It clearly shows our commitment
towards farmers and our government is committed for Rythu
Rajyam established by Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, he said.
"Agricultural advances as on March 31 this year were Rs
68,658 crore registering a growth of 169 per cent during past
five years lending exceeded targets both under Kharif and
Rabi. We are also continuing with free power supply to farmers
since 2004 without break. Ours will always remain a farmers`
government," Rosaiah said, while reviewing the Tythu Chaitanya
Yatra being launched in Ranga Reddy district tomorrow with
the agriculture minister and officials.
