Hyderabad: Amid speculations of a Cabinet reshuffle, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah is undertaking a visit to Delhi next week during which he is likely to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

Rosaiah is likely to leave for Delhi on October 10 and he may meet Gandhi the next day, official sources said. The visit assumes significance as speculation is rife that Rosaiah would get the nod from the high command for undertaking reshuffle of his Cabinet.

Rosaiah, who took oath on September 3 last year, a day after the death of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in a chopper crash, has been continuing with the same Cabinet despite pressure from aspirants within the Congress.

The 77-year-old leader has faced several crises ever since he took over as Chief Minister which reportedly put off the Cabinet reshuffle. The unprecedented floods, the campaign to make Rajasekhara Reddy's son and Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy as Chief Minister, the prolonged agitation for separate Telangana are some of the crises that gripped the state after Rajasekhara Reddy's death.

It is widely expected that Rosaiah would drop two ministers P Subbhash Chandra Bose and B Srinivasa Reddy who participated in Jagan's controversial yatra despite the high command's reservations.

The Chief Minister is likely to meet several Union Ministers during his visit to the national capital. Besides the issue of Cabinet reshuffle, Jagan's continuing yatra and other matters related to the state are likely to figure in Rosaiah's talks with the Central leaders.
