New Delhi: The three-hour-long Union Cabinet meeting, which on Thursday finalised bill on Telangana state, saw several objections being raised by Ministers from Seemandhra region.

Sources said the Union Cabinet had detailed discussion on the formation of the state with some ministers from Seemandhra raising certain issues.

Union Ministers from Seemandhra region had met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh several times requesting him to accept their resignations over Telangana creation.

Textiles Minister KS Rao and HRD Minister MM Pallam Raju are the two Cabinet ministers from the Seemandhra region.
