Senior cop arrested in bribery case in AP

Hyderabad: Deputy Superintendent of Police of Chevella division in the neighbouring Ranga Reddy district has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000.

According to a ACB release here on Friday, K Gunasekhar was caught red-handed by ACB officials late last night at his residence at Chevella, when he demanded and accepted Rs 25,000 as bribe from a complainant for getting a complaint registered with and also to settle his land dispute.

Gunasekhar was arrested and produced before an ACB court here and the case is under investigation.
