SHG leader from East Godavari nominated to AP Council

Rajahmundry: Newly nominated member to
the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Anguri Laxmi Siva Kumar
promised to endeavour for the welfare of women.

She was speaking to reporters last night at DRDA office
here.

She thanked the UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and State
Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for nominating her for the
post. "It shows the importance given to the women in the
country by the Congress governments," she said.

She said she will strive for the upliftment of women
and provide all assistance and cooperation to the all the
sections of the society to achieve good results in future.

"I will continue to work for welfare of the poor people,
SHGs and other sections of the society," she added.
