Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Congress
president Botsa Satyanarayana on Sunday expressed hope that a
solution to the contentious Telangana issue would soon be
found.

Yesterday, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had made an
appeal to Telangana supporters to observe restraint saying
that the Central leadership is likely to take a decision on
the issue in another two-three months.

Referring to Reddy`s appeal, Satyanarayana said, "Chief
Minister has already said. We hope that a solution to the
problem would be found soon," told reporters at the airport
here before leaving for East Godavari district.

He made the comments at a function in Mahabubnagar
district in Telangana region where supporters of separate
statehood raised slogans in support of their demand.

Satyanarayana said the issue of resignations of MLAs,
loyal to Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, is in the court of
Assembly Speaker N Manohar.

The PCC president began a tour of districts from today,
beginning with East Godavari district, to rejuvenate the
party and contain the impact of Jagan.

During his two-day visit to East Godavari district, he
is scheduled to meet party workers at various places and
participate in other programmes.
