State HRC chief demands President`s rule in AP

Rights Council and lawyer Muppala Subba Rao has called for
President`s rule in Andhra Pradesh alleging state`s failure in
protect the interests of the people due to Telangana strike.
"The law and order situation has completely failed in the
state. Therefore, now the state governor should recommend the
for President`s rule in the state to protect the rights of
citizens," Rao said.
"The chief minister had said that the Telangana issue is
now in the court of Union Government. We are ready to accept
any decision taken by the Centre in this regard. Now at least
all political leaders sit together and decide the future
course of action," he said.
"Due to this agitation the state was recurring huge
losses. The situation is now not in the hands of government,
it should declare financial emergency to overcome this
crisis," he alleged.
