New Delhi: Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy on Sunday asked the government to agree to the demand for the creation of a separate Telangana state.

"I demand that the Union government immediately concede to the demand for separate state of Telengana instead of idling away time like Roman emperor Nero," he said in a statement.

He said since the situation is now grim, the Prime Minister must "diffuse it" by conceding the "just overdue demand of a separate state with Hyderabad as the capital."
