Hyderabad: The Telangana Telugu Desam Forum
has sought to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress
President Sonia Gandhi on October 25 to present them a
memorandum on the statehood issue.
The forum has organised a rally in New Delhi on the issue
of statehood for Telangana on October 25 and over 2,000 TDP
workers from different parts of Telangana would arrive in
Delhi by a special train for the rally to be held at Jantar
Mantar.
Forum convener Nagam Janardhana Reddy said on Monday the forum has sought appointment with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi to present a memorandum on the formation of a separate state.
The Forum has threatened to stage a dharna in front of
Sonia Gandhi's residence on October 25 if she did not grant
its leaders an appointment.
