TDP says Congress is in `secret deal with Jagan`

TDP has alleged that the Congress-led UPA government was not taking any action against Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, over the corruption charges against him "only because of a secret deal the Congress entered into with him."

Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has
alleged that the Congress-led UPA government was not taking
any action against Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, president of the YSR
Congress Party, over the corruption charges against him "only
because of a secret deal the Congress entered into with him."
Why is the Congress government not acting against Jagan
when it is proceeding against former Union Minister A Raja and
MP Kanimozhi on charges of corruption? It is clear that the
Congress is protecting Jagan only because of a secret deal,?
TDP senior MLA and spokesman Payyavula Keshav alleged here
today.

Addressing a press conference at NTR Bhavan, the TDP
headquarters, Keshav pointed out that the statements made by
Union Ministers A K Antony and P Chidambaram, following
Jagan’s victory in Kadapa by-election, clearly indicate that
the YSR Congress chief would return to the Congress any day.

He said the TDP was fighting a relentless battle against
the "unprecedented corruption" by the Y S Rajasekhara Reddy
family for the past six years.
Rebuffing Jagan’s allegation that the TDP was
hand-in-glove with the ruling Congress in Andhra Pradesh,
Keshav said the former was making such claims only because he
is afraid of the TDP.

The TDP legislator wondered why AICC General Secretary
Rahul Gandhi was not visiting Andhra Pradesh to witness the
plight of farmers in the state. Is Rahul not ashamed of the
farmers’ distress in AP? Keshav questioned.
