TDP stage sit-in over liquor syndicates raids

A group of leaders from TDP staged a dharna demanding that AP govt make public details about raids on the liquor syndicates in the state.

Guntur: A group of leaders from main
Opposition TDP on Monday staged a dharna demanding that the Andhra
Pradesh government make public details about Anti-Corruption
Bureau (ACB) raids on the liquor syndicates in the state.

Two MLAs, one MLC and one former Minister of the TDP
took part in the sit-in at the Collectorate here. The TDP
workers burnt an effigy of Excise Minister MV Ramanarao.

The raids conducted recently unearthed bribes and
kickbacks paid to the liquor syndicates. We want the names of
these people to be made public, the TDP leaders said.
