Teams formed for enumeration of losses due to `Laila` in AP

Andhra Pradesh government today said that teams have been formed for taking up final enumeration of the losses occurred due to Cyclone `Laila` in the state.

today said that teams have been formed for taking up final
enumeration of the losses occurred due to Cyclone `Laila` in
the state.

"We have issued directions to collectors of
cyclone-affected districts to prepare a comprehensive report
on the damages, including houses, lives, properties, crops
etc, and submit it by May 25," Revenue Minister Dharmana
Prasad Rao told reporters here today.

After receiving the information, we will get to know the
extent of damage caused in each district due to cyclone.
Quantum of compensation to be paid to affected persons will be
decided on the basis of this report, Rao said.

He said the state government will hold talks with the
Central government to see to it that the rice crop, which was
discoloured due to the cyclone in the district, be purchased
by the Food Corporation of India.
