Hyderabad: Legislators of the TDP, TRS and
BJP from Telangana region, who have been boycotting the
ongoing budget session of Andhra Pradesh Assembly, on Monday
conducted a `mock Telangana assembly` in Hyderabad.

About 30 MLAs from the three parties attended the `mock
assembly` held by Telangana Journalists Forum.

TDP`s K Harishwar Reddy was in the chair for the event
and the participants spoke about the need for formation of
separate Telangana and the injustice allegedly done to the
region.

The `mock assembly` passed resolutions demanding that the
Centre table a bill for formation of separate Telangana in the
ongoing budget session of Parliament and the state government
lift the cases filed against Telangana supporters during the
`million march to Hyderabad` held last week.

Another resolution urged all parties in Telangana to work
for achieving separate statehood to the region.

The `mock assembly` "condemned the portrayal of the
recent vandalism of statues on Tank Bund here as a cultural
tragedy".

The participating MLAs paid homage to those who
allegedly committed suicides in support of separate Telangana
demand.
