Karimnagar: Three persons were seriously injured when miscreants attacked them and burgled their home in Huzurabad Mandal headquarters near here in the wee hours today, police said.
Four burglars armed with crowbars, knives and sticks entered the house of Tatikonda Bhoomaiah, an employee of Road Transport Corporation(RTC), in Kakatiya colony near the RTC bus depot in Huzurabad town at around 3 AM today.
They robbed gold and silver jewellery and cash and also attacked Bhoomaiah (40) and two of his family members with the weapons when they resisted the robbery attempt.
The three family members were seriously injured in the attack and were rushed to MGM hospital at Warangal, the DySP said adding that Bhoomaiah was stated to be critical.
A case has been registered while search was on to nab the culprits.
