Hyderabad: Three Army jawans were on Tuesday arrested for an alleged attempt to rape a 17-year-old girl on Sunday night.
Reports claim that the three jawans, who were allegedly in an inebriated state, spotted the girl sitting with her male friend at Mahendra Hills on Sunday night.
They allegedly beat up the boy, snatched his cellphone and chased him away while they attempted to outrage the modesty of the girl.
The victim’s friend managed to get help and cops tracked down the three jawans and the victim.
The jawans have been remanded to police custody and the girl was sent for medical examination.
