Karimnagar: Three persons including a driver were killed and three others injured when a lorry loaded with granite stone collided with a van near here Tuesday, police said.
The mishap took place in the wee hours at Gattududdenapalli village under Manakondur police limits, when the van, carrying six persons was proceeding towards Kamalapur in Karimnagar Rural Circle Inspector K Srujan Reddy said.
The deceased were identified as driver Naveen Kumar (27) David Raju (30) and Reddy Kishore (32), police said.
The injured were shifted to Government headquarters hospital in Karimnagar town.
The lorry driver has been taken into custody and further investigations are on, police added.
