Chennai: Tamil Nadu Goverrnor K Rosaiah, who turned 79 Wednesday, was greeted by a host of leaders including Vice President Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Singh and Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, who is now in Ooty, telephoned Rosaiah to convey their best wishes, a Raj Bhavan release said.
The Vice President, Governors of various states and union ministers sent their greetings to Rosaiah.
RBI Governor Subbarao, who is in town, and several other dignitaries called on the Governor to convey their greetings.
A health camp was organised for the staff and family members of Raj Bhavan on the occasion, the release said.
