Vadodara: Team India’s preparation for the upcoming home series against Australia received yet another major blow when opener Gautam Gambhir injured himself during net practice in Vadodara on Saturday.

Reports claim that Gambhir injured his head during practice, after which he had to quit the session.

The news of Gambhir’s injury came a day after skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni injured his knee while practicing for the Australia series that starts on Sunday. He was hit on the backside of the left knee while batting at the nets against paceman Munaf Patel.

Dhoni, however, attended that practice session on Saturday, indicating the fact of his injury not being serious.

Reports also claimed that another opener, Virender Sehwag was too hit on the chest accidentally while practicing on Friday, due to which, he also missed the session on Saturday.

Officials claim that the injuries are not serious, and all the three injured players may participate in Sunday’s first ODI against the Aussies.

Dhoni is expected to brief the media later in the day on the same.

The indian players get injured only after they attain fame. When no one cares for them they play even when in pain. These all are the side effects of Fame and Money. The only indian`s that has still remained unaffected by economic recession are the cricket playes. Team India , Injured India. Men in blue is now man in pain.
